| Sports & Recreation - Tennis |
We have four floodlit tennis courts which are bookable by Members up to 7 days in advance.
Our resident Tennis Professional offers individual and group coaching for both adults and children as well as training for Club teams participating in the Abu Dhabi Tennis League.
The Tennis Section at The Club welcomes beginners and experienced players, both the young and not so young.
We hold two social tennis evenings every week, usually the best of seven games with player rotation. Each year we organise a Senior Championship, with the full range of Men’s and Ladies Singles and doubles along with Mixed Doubles and Plate competitions. For junior players we hold Under 17 and Under 12 Championships.
Our popular 'Fun Tournaments' take place every month from September to May. These are doubles tournaments for up to 32 players, pitting a different partner against different opposition for six matches followed by semi finals and finals.
We also have 10 teams playing in the Abu Dhabi Tennis League and over the season, around 50 of our section members are involved in League Tennis.
On the social side our Annual Dinner Dance is held in April each year and we also arrange an outing to The Dubai Open Tennis Championships in February.
