With a fleet of Kestrels and Lasers and a few Toppers, the Abu Dhabi Sailing Club is a sub-section of The Club and welcomes all sailors from within The Club's membership.
They take to the water twice a week, and also participate in 4-5 National Regattas every year in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Never sailed before? No Problem. We'll get you on the water in no time.
They are the only sailing club in Abu Dhabi and provide boats to members using a syndication system. This means that new members can arrive and be sailing with a minimum of delay, and for those wanting to learn how to sail they offer regular training sessions together with a growing youth section.
More experienced members will appreciate the challenging variety of winds and tides with the standard of the regular Friday afternoon racing surprisingly high. The waters around Abu Dhabi are a cruising playground with abundant wildlife, including flying fish, dolphins and cormorants. Come along for a good time, some civilised exercise, and a break from the daily routines on temperate waters. |
