| About The Club - History |
A royal connection; situated on land kindly donated by the late H.H. The President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, The Club was founded by a group of expatriates in 1962.
From its humble beginnings, The Club has grown to include purpose built complexes and sporting facilities. It is a Private Members facility, operated along policies set by an Executive Committee elected annually from the Membership. The Club's Management Team and 200 staff combine to provide international service standards in a friendly and relaxed setting to it's 3250 adult Members and their families hailing from over 80 countries worldwide.
Abu Dhabi is recognised as a very safe, secure and tolerant capital city. Notwithstanding this we deploy a number of safety and surveillance procedures to enable members to relax when on the premises. These include: controlled access, site monitoring, random site patrols and regular spot checks. These measures are discrete and are in place for the wellbeing of our members. |
